July 3-7th, 2016 – Professor Chung spoke at the Engineering Conferences International on Nanotechnology in Medicine regarding “Targeting Atherosclerosis Using Supramolecular Micellar Assemblies.”

July 2nd, 2016 – Bulk and Nanoscale Polypeptide Based Polyelectrolyte Complexes is now published online in Advances in Colloid and Interface Science.

May 20th, 2016 – Professor Chung contributed to Science Magazine’s InGenuity essays on how scientists can help an urbanizing world.

May 19th, 2016 – Professor Chung chairs with Professor Nuno Neves, a New Frontiers Symposium on Nanobiomaterials and Nanotechnology for Implants, Devices, and Theranostics at the World Biomaterials Congress (WBC) in Montreal.

May 18th, 2016 – Professor Chung presented a poster, “The Design of Gadolinium Containing Peptide Amphiphile Micelles for Molecular MRI” at the World Biomaterials Congress (WBC) in Montreal.

May 11th, 2016 – Professor Chung is giving an invited seminar on Molecular Engineering for Theranostics in the Bioengineering Department at UC Riverside.

May 10th, 2016 – Professor Chung is giving an invited seminar on Biomaterials Design for Tissue Regeneration and Theranostic Applications at USC Stem Cells.

March 30th, 2016 – Professor Chung’s review article, Targeting and Therapeutic Peptides in Nanomedicine for Atherosclerosis, is published in Experimental Biology and Medicine.

March 11-14th, 2016 – Professor Chung attended the Leadership in Bioscience workshop held by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

December 3rd, 2015 – Professor Chung presented her work “Peptide Amphiphile Micelles as Contrast Agents for Molecular MRI” at MRS in Boston, Massachusetts.

November 29th, 2015 – Professor Chung’s review article on self-assembling nanoparticles was highlighted on the front cover of Advanced Healthcare Materials!

November 25th, 2015 – Professor Chung was highlighted by Medicine on the Midway at the University of Chicago for her success in obtaining the K99/R00 grant from the National Institute for Lung, Blood, and Heart at the NIH.

October 9th, 2015 – Professor Chung presented her work “Peptide Amphiphile Micelle-Mediated Molecular Imaging of Cardiovascular Disease” at BMES in Tampa, Florida.

August 12-15th, 2015 – Professor Chung attended the Short Course in Tissue Engineering at Rice University in Houstin, Texas.

July 28-29th, 2015 – Professor Chung presented her work “Monocyte-Targeting, Peptide Amphiphile Micelle Nanoparticles for Atherosclerosis Diagnostics” at the K-to-R01 Investigators Meeting at the NIH in Washington D.C.

July 19-24th, 2015 – Professor Chung presented her work “Theranostic Peptide Amphiphile Micelles for Atherosclerosis” at the Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Gordon Research Conference in Girona, Spain.

June 17th, 2015 – Professor Chung was highlighted by the Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM) at the University of Chicago for her success in obtaining the K99/R00 grant from the National Institute for Lung, Blood, and Heart at the NIH.
