January 8th, 2021 – Congrats to Kairui Kerry Jiang on receiving the undergraduate Provost’s Research Fellowship!

November 4th, 2020 – Congrats to Deborah for passing her qualifying exam!

August 30th, 2020 – Our review on peptide strategies against aberrant pathways in polycystic kidney disease is now available in Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews.

June 29th, 2020 – Dr. Chung presents at the Controlled Release Society virtual annual meeting on oral delivery of nanoparticles for polycystic kidney disease and receives the Young Investigator Award from the Oral Delivery Focus Group.

May 12th, 2020 – Congratulations to our seniors Kayley Cheng, Johan Joo, and Claire Conway on their graduation this week! In addition, Johan Joo receives the AMI Award for Outstanding Research in Biomedical Engineering! Congrats everyone and best wishes!

May 6th, 2020 – HUGE congrats to Dr. Chung on the Viterbi Junior Research Award as well as receiving the Chinese Association for Biomaterials Young Investigator Award!

November 22nd, 2019 – Dr. Chung receives the IEEE Nanomed New Innovator in Nanomed award and is recognized as a 2020 BMES CMBE Rising Star highlighted: here and here.

November 21st, 2019 – Dr. Chung gives seminar in the Department of Bioengineering at Hanyang University in Seoul.

October 3rd, 2019 – Deborah’s paper on calcium detection using nanoparticles is now available online!

September 24-27th, 2019 – Professor Chung is selected to attend the National Academy of Engineering Frontiers in Engineering meeting.

September 13th, 2019 – Undergrads Jack Cook and Kairui Kerry Jiang receive the Provost’s Research Fellowship!

August 9th, 2019 – Congrats to all of our high school and undergraduate researchers in the BUGS, SHINE, and Viterbi Summer Institute programs for completing and presenting their work! April 12th, 2019 – Noah Trac and Deborah Chin present their work at our Department’s annual Grodin’s Research Symposium! Congratulations to Deborah Chin for winning best poster and Jonathan Wang for organizing the event!

April 11th, 2019 – Our undergrads Johan Joo and Margot Meldefontenay present their research posters at the Undergraduate Symposium for Scholarly and Creative Work. They both won first prize in their respective areas! Congratulations!
